BBWF & the Footman James saviours!!

So......

Just get in from work....polish the Wedge all ready for tomorrow....go to drive the car back into car port...BANG!!!!:eek:....clutch cable gone!!

F"@k...I say...5.30 on the Friday before the BBWF...looks like its not coming with me then....

A few phone calls later...(Thanks Paul for the help GSX600)...I call the breakdown number I get with my insurance company, Footman James (Less than 200 quid a year fully comp)

At my house in 45 minutes..(even sent me a text to tell me what time they would there)..hour later they have made up a clutch cable and fitted it. They have told me as the clutch is heavy and its only a temporary measure it might not last....but I'm risking it any way....how much did they charge....

Nothing!!!!:thumbup:...FJ Will get my buisness again next year.

Hope fully see you tomorrow guys...wave if you see me by the side of the road with a mobile in one hand and a clutch cable in the other!!:wavey:

Take an electrical cable connecter block (and small screwdriver) with you to join the two ends together.

No probs, would have popped over to assist but had a gas soldering iron in hand, making some last minute amendments !

Hope the drive around was ok tonight
