I bought some of these. They are not like the enameled badges but still look good. The only prob is that the wheel centre is dished and you can not stick them on without a crease. I know you could put some sealer behind to try and flaten the surface but would be worried about spoiling your centre caps. ILL put up with the crease as no one looks that close,
or do they??????
Still good value though and speedy service.....

When he says they are chrome vinyl, are they as shiney as the original ones?

I suppose you could try and get the dishing effect by stretching them over a heated former. Another way to avoid the crease might be to cut a wedge (!) shaped section out from the centre to the edge.

I've just been playing around with printing some of my own onto "Inkjet Transparency Film"

I made an image from retouching a photo of the original badge. If you mirror the image before printing then this makes the badge more durable, i.e. you're printing on the reverse side.

Adams "wedge" idea works well, I just made a single cut from the top to the centre, this gets hidden in the black background, and the flat disk becomes conical with a small overlap at the cut.

I'll give it a go trying to deform it with heat, into a dome shape, in stead of cutting. Let you know if it works.

Spraying the printed side (the back) with lacquer will make it waterproof (more so than the rest of the car!)
I measured the diameter of my wheel centres as 47mm and scaled the image to this but it is easy to re-scale if anyone requires so.

My centres have lost some of their shinny coating so I need to re-paint them. Can anyone recommend a paint that works on this plastic?

I got mine last week.
It will save you all the dilling about.

Another good money saving tip is to go off-line on the last lap of a track day. I picked up enough rubber on the tyres to last me 3 months of regular driving.....

IMHO it is worth spending time to saving money, especially if it's more than you can earn in the same time.
I personally can't quite earn £20 for 10 minutes work, so I can justify my time to myself.

The TVR inlay is done with a chrome style vinyl so yes it does shine like the standard ones. And as for my tight arse isn't thats the way its supposed to be!! Or is yours different????.....
