desperatly needing Lucas 4fp fuel pump

Hi all, does anybody have a Lucas 4fp or Bosch equivilant fuel pump for my 350i. Mine has siezed and I just missed one on e-bay.

I think I have a couple in the garage that my dads stockpiling for his SD1, but have no idea if they work?

Does anyone know, is it just a case of throwing 12v across them or do the pumps need to be primed inorder to work?

Hi Iain,
I think you can put 12v to them by attaching the spades to the battery and then putting a length of pipe from both ends into the same bucket of petrol so as it runs and primes itself.
