I've just taken out a policy with Footman James, I have just recieved all the documents, including a vehicle condition form I need to complete to get an agreed value. (I NEED to do this, cause it is near MINT :D)

As this is the first classic policy I have had I need some help on the following:

The form says cause it is under 20 years old & below 15K in value the form needs to be completed by a specialist valuer/dealer or a car club official etc.

I live in Nuneaton, Warwickshire - Where can I get this done locally? & who can do this?

Also how much will it roughly cost?

I know Richard at RT in sheffield can do it - I am planning to book it in for a chassis treatment, I was thinking of having the valuation don by him at the same time - only problem is it won't be going up for at least 5-6 weeks (money! :(), & I really would like to get this done asap.

Or do you think it would be benificial to have the valuation done AFTER the chassis treatment? - or won't it make much difference?

Not major - just want the flaky coating & unsightly surface rust sorting on the chassis & suspension components etc, & getting it rust-proofed.

Any suggestions?, all info, ideas, comments welcome

Jamie

Did you fill out the form yourself & they just verified & signed it?, or did they actually fill out the form themselves?.
& was it a specialist garage, TVR etc?

Hi Jamie.I filled out the form myself putting down what class of condition and what I think the value is.Then a general sportscar garage [ they mainly overhall porsches ] agreed with what i wrote and signed the form.
