Discussion
hi everyone,
i have been offered a tasmin 200 fixed head by a customer that comes in to my shop, the condition is quite good but not perfect its original with all paperwork dating back to its manufacture date, and i beleve its 1 off 16, this is where my problem lies, he is looking for a sensible offer for this car! how much is a sensible offer? dose anyone know what this car is worth? i know its a hard one to answer, dose anyone have one? or know of anyone who has or had one? thanks for your time.

Can't tell without looking. You need to carefully check the condition of the chassis, especially behind the sills. Given the prices that nicely turned out 280i's are going for on Ebay, I'd say even a good drophead one will fetch less than 2k, so fixed head, less still.
Great car though, go for it.

The 2L pinto has lots going for it if you want to play with it, well over 200bhp is possible. A total of 49 fixed head and drop head were made over 4 years or so. the books vary as to what the split was. the model also split the Mk1 and 2 versions. I have a Mk1 drop head, many have seen it, I have an insurance agreed value of £3500, but I dont think I will get that in a sale at the moment. But then i am not considering selling so that dont matter, But next year I will be looking out for a left hand wedge, may be a 350 or 390 Mk1 body if possible.
Degz, if you are after a left hooker, this one didn't make reserve on fleabay:

It's a 280i rather than a V8 though.
By the way, no offence intended, just being factual about ebay prices. Of course, well maintained ones with known history and provenance are worth more within the community.
