Torx Socket for O.Z wheels

Anyone any idea where I can get a Torx? socket to fit the OZ split rim wheels as they need to be split and polished.

I understand that you can get replacement rims from a company called Barmby Engineering? Has anyone heard of them or got a clue if you can get replacement rims?

I seem to remember reading that they're a non-standard size, various specialists have made/obtained their own but they aren't widely available.

They're an O.Z. special. I believe Tower View have the tools (I think they are different sizes front to back) but not many others. Theres an outfit called Renowheel in Wales somewhere who will split and recon these rims, but c. £150 each!

If you Can try and measure them or know the size, I can make some enquiresm as I own a Car parts retail shop and have dealings with some tool suppliers.

I've been pondering this one for ages. I find it hard to believe that OZ would have special bolts made for their wheels. When i worked for Rolls Royce (jet engines not cars) most of the nuts and bolts used were 12 point type. I'm pretty sure these are as used on split rims. They're actually 10 point heads, with the OZ name cast into them as well.

I might be able to get some made, it'll be cheaper to do a batch. I'm hoping about a tenner each.

If you mean the tools to remove the bolts, count me in. When I made some enquiries with a tool maker some years ago, he was talking about £70 to make something. That was before I realised that the bolt heads are a different size to the securing nuts.

I need a set if you can sourced them - I've had to hire a tool to get them apart from Hans Daalhuizen in Holland, but would like a set of my own for the geniune O.Z wheels.

Yeah, just setting up a little CNC project with Jim to sort this out. What sort of torque did you need to apply to

a) undo them and
b) do them back up?
