Tallbloke is a new member of the Blackpool on the rijn club.
He is a great guy who helped us with the show today.
The show was a great succes, and roger was a big help, in the bar he was the chief, and the people of hollland like's him very well.

Thanks to everyone who was involved with organising it! Never seen so many Tivs in one place, let alone here.

Thanks to all the Blackpool a/d Rijn Gang who have made me so welcome! I been looked after from the moment I arrived on thursday evening, and it was a pleasure to help set up the display, pushing cars about in the rain at 7 in the morning
and setting up the bar at 9! The show was fantastic, with TVR Holland bringing the Sagaris and Tuscan S. But pride of the show was the impressive lineup of wedges covering all the history of production. The linup of early TVR's was great too, with a '62 Grantura and two Tuscan V8's at one end of the 40 car linup and the latest Tuscan and the Sagaris 200metre stretch of our section. There were around 400 cars on display further up and down the road too. Everything from live steam engines and tractors to Old fire engines and American V8's. The After show party was a gas too, with a great band to round off the evening after the dinner at the most impressive lakeside Chinese Restaurant. Roll on the next Rijn Rumble! Just one pic for now but I'll get them all up as soon as I can.

Have you noticed how the current generation of TVR's (Sagaris, T350 etc) have similar lines to that of the very first TVR's (Vixens, Granturas etc). Look at the 4 recent pictures in this post of the Sagaris and old Tuscan - both have a dumpy squat back, large rear window and fast back type styling. The fronts also have very similar proportions. Just an observation!
Oh, and I have a genuine Dutch kilt which I bought from Holland and I dont recall being gay... :-)
Could soon be another Wedge being imported to Holland by the way... I still quite fancy moving there if I could find some kind of job... Going around the agencies next week!
