Will they fit into a Wedge?

From what? They've made loads of seats.
One thing to bear in mind about the standard seats is that they have a very long base cushion, unlike most other cars.
With the 'straight-leg' driving position of the wedge, you don't want a cushion that ends halfway along your thigh...

The seats I'm looking at are from an Astra SRi/GSi.

Don't know from that car, but in general recaros are narrow and have a long bottom cushion. Used to have them in a very small and very narrow japanese car (don't ask) and they were good (especially during 4wheel drifts and long journeys).
But must say I have not yet seen a TVR with recaros.
Dumped my old seats a couple of years ago, so can't try for fit in the wedge.

Recaro seats from a Sierra Cosworth apparently fit. See pic. Karl has a pair of leather trimmed seats of this type in his SEAC.
Plan to do the same in my car, but I haven't got round to it yet. They need a different subframe fitting to the Sierra.

Looking wider than what I had, but if they are proven to fit it should be no problem.
Agree with the mounting rack to the floor, as it can be very very time consuming (I know). And while you are at it, it is probably best to fix the seat to something proper like in 'not fibreglass'.
