Hi

Most will know the story of Delilah the 280i, i purchased her in 2010 which saved her from being scrapped...after a failed supercharging project she was sold with rebuilt engine and loads of other essential work, she was a reliable classic when i sold her in 2013 and bought Poppy the 350i...8 years later i was forced to sell the 350i and scrap my mk5 Fiesta daily runner due to the ULEZ, i also became very deeply depressed as i do suffer from ill-mental health and have done for many years, after a 2 year lapse Delilah appeared again, she kept popping up over the years for sale but seemed to be never used?..in August 2023 i got myself in debt with paypal credit to buy her back, she has had 17 owners ffs...however in the last 10 years she has hardly been anywhere, less than a 1,000 miles in 10 years so the totally rebuilt engine is still good and all the bushes etc that was done have lasted, some need doing again, she has had a new rad, brackets made by kind Wedgers for pas pumps and alternator, i have retrimmed her which was the intention back when i purchased her and was the catalyst in 2012 for me learning to trim, i have many plans for her including a 3.5 V6 unleaded rebuild but for now i just need to enjoy her again, i have got into 3D printing so has 3D printed light surrounds and wheel caps...although finding a good chrome paint is still ongoing smile

TVR Wedges have saved my life twice now...so thank you Trevor..i have met some amazing wonderful people on my TVR journey and hope it can continue.

When bought back in 2023

Great job of re trimming her I have literally just completed mine today a similar job but in white stitching what a nightmare lol hat's off to you as I gave the dash and pod to a professional trimmer who declined to do it so I just resprayed it with leather paint.

Yeah, I'm not a fan... sorry. My mate bought a Turbo Esprit that has had the same treatment, though in some garish colours... doesn't suit the car at all.
In similar vein, someone had decided my Esprit looked better with some beige shag pile glued to the dash and centre console... rolleyes

laugh.....originally i was going red & black, which i still like, door cards are easy to change and i have some Wedge seats coming that will be trimmed in an original fashion smile
May go back to it as i liked it, the diamond stitch is a bit of fun smile

With the handles in wood etc...i am trialling some hydrographics but more on that later

The handle has the vinyl wrap shyte on it just to see what it looks like...prefer the original...smile

Thanks for your honesty as always smile

The early cars (the Series 1s certainly) had real walnut veneer on the dash panels and door pulls, and were even serial-numbered on the back so the factory wouldn't lose the grain/colour match.

Have the alloy column stalks survived? EDIT: aha... answering my own question hehe - I can see they have woohoo

Asthmatic?...Delilah has a rebuilt engine with less than 1,000 miles on it, Alan adjusted the tappets and she runs like a new car...smile
