Breakes Upgrade

Can somebody give me advice about this?

Wouldn't say it's needed on a road-only car, once you're used to the way Wedge brakes work - aside from the usual braided lines all round, DOT5.1 fluid changed yearly, decent harder pads. My set-up usually lasts about 3-4 fast laps of Zolder before they start to fade. A friend had a Wilwood set-up installed by an outfit in Dartford a couple of years back on his 450SE. Said they were great. Will try to get more info.

Tower View have some fast road tarox front pads - they are unobtainable and are the best.

They were selling them at BBWF for £40 to get rid of them - give them a call.

I'd agree. Together with the original calipers and the Tower View upgrade disks, the Tarox performed better than anything else I've had in the car since (Two different setups since then - including Wilwood and Hi-Spec

AP Racing 330 Vented Discs with four pot alloy calipers, Ferodo DS2500 pads, braided lines and DOT5.1 fluid. The absolute mutts nuts. Couldn't make them fade in a whole day at Spa earlier this year.
Not cheap, but in my opinion worth every penny I paid for them.

Must be said - that is a great price and if you had pricess 4 pots already you could sell them on after..

Hi Mick, how do you find the 2500 pads? I've used the 3000's (fantastic grip, but downside was lots of noise and v. heavy rotor wear, because of the high metal content) and am currently running the 2000's which are not as hard or grippy, but seem to cope ok on trackdays. The 2500's will be going in when the existing ones are shot.

Hi Paul,

Generally I haven't found them any noisier than standard pads. Occasionally when they are cold and have been used lightly previously they are a bit noisy. Soon wears off though. IIRC they were quite noisy when I first fitted them until they were bedded in properly.
How's yours' running?

OK at the moment - taking it relatively easy at the moment, as I put 4 new Toyo's on a couple of months back - never used them before, and some suggest that they take a bit of scrubbing in.

I'm very happy with the performance of the setup I got from Keri and the reasonable cost of the kit.
