400's chassis is now restored!

Completed my body lift (not off) restoration today, so my 400 now has brand new outriggers ( 1 1/2" box section) and 4 new pads for the body to sit on ( 3mm steel plate), also had to construct a new front corner in tubular steel. You guys who havent done this yet had better get prepared!!!!

I'll be doing the same job on Simon's 400SE soon - we did the
fuel leak today on the sender unit and had a look at the outriggers.

They do not look too difficult.

when you lift off the body, the box section behind the axle will also be rotten, you wont see it until then, i fixed mine with stainless steel, so even if the rest of the car turns to dust that will still be there!!

Mine are OK at the mo nut might be handy reference for the future!

That would depend if the car's in question have oil leaks or not.

Oil leaks save chassis..

But make a mess on the floor
