Went for a blast yesterday afternoon, weather was so sunny just couldn't resist. I knew I needed petrol in at some point but didn't want to stop. Exiting a roundabout, fuel station on the left, I thought-should have stopped. 100m further along, cough-splutter-dead. B****r! Walked back to the garage, £5 for a fuel tin & £5 for petrol. Put it in the car and still nothing. Opened the bonnet to find the coil lead had come adrift from coil. (embarrased, I had just changed the leads the night before) Moral of the story, don't believe the fuel gauge and don't jump to conclusions
