I've removed the Pistonheads ad for my car for the moment - on there for long enough. It was, ostensibly, sold a while ago for quite a good (high) price - turned out to be a timewaster, though seemed to be quite serious for a time.

Whilst it is in many respects pointless selling it to fellow Wedgers, please contact me if you are interested in any way.

I have resurrected this post after spending all night swotting up on wedge ownership in general and JJ's car in particular.

I have no interest in owning this car as anything other than an SE, just want a good solid wedge. There are a couple of possibles in the pipeline, but I am keeping my options open. Has anyone seen this car in the last couple of years in the flesh.

I will be viewing it soon.

I would appreciate any commments, help, advice either on this thread or via email, even from you JJ, feel free to air you opinions.

How many times have you tried to sell the car? is it a tough car to sell within the wedge community because of the controversy.

Sorry for the newbie type questions, please bear with me chaps rolleyes

Steve

I'd suggest viewing the car - if you are interested.

It's not right for us here to post opinions about others cars - as quite frankly it's not right and most of us have not looked at the car up close, underneath etc..

I'd say if it all in good condition, and with a high spec 420 engine, and racing suspension, then at that price its a bargain.

Also if the correct history can ever be proven it could be worth a lot more that the current price.

Shame there is no rolling road history for the car, as this could prove or disprove the spec of the engine. but there are pictures of Cosworth pistons.

Also full pictures of suspension and shocks, may help the clam of racing suspension.

As with all wedges if its in good condition will be a lot of fun no matter want the history.

If you serious then the best thing is to view it.

Yep. Remember that most of the disscussions here are not about the car but centre on two letters stuck on the back after a respray and subsequent claims by people.

I've watched the threads relating to the car with interest, and in a completely unbiased way, lettering and monikers of what it should and shouldn't be aside I can't see it being a bad buy especially with the extra bits it has on it.

If the essentials are there, chassis, stonking engine, etc etc I think a potential buyer could do a whole lot worse.

Good luck with the sale, unfortunately I'm down to a ropey old merc 190 now grumpy but I would seriously consider it if I were in a position to buy.
