er..i think that may have been me!

Depends when you saw me...i was a little 'aggressive' out of the junction but ive never had anyone say shes smokey..i get a bit on gear change when i really boot it, but i guessed that was normal, especially if ive been driving gently for quite a way previous???

Does that make it 2 spotted in about 4 months of ownership?

well, if it was me, that makes it two in the six weeks ive owned her...and that excludes the phone call i had from HueB (Clive) when i was driving through petersfield saying 'Did you just drive around town in your 400???'

Apparently i made a little bit of noise!

It would seem that i get about a bit!!

If it's when flooing it - it could be piston rings being worn and rich mixture (one, both or either..) overrun smoking indicate value guide / stem oil seals.

I would not worry about it ..

really sorry to worry you Matt-man, it really was not that bad, I was probably looking in my rover diesel's mirror at the time!!
When mine is eventually back on the road I'm sure it will be the same, just puffing a bit under heavy acceleration, you've just got to go for it, rude not too really!
I am in Woking so perhaps we can meet up for a blast and a pint when repaired?
