It's MOT time/midlands garages
Discussion
The MOT is up on my 89 350i next month, I have done a lot of the work myself in preperation, i.e. new front discs & pads, all electrics checked (& fixed!). However I have no access to a ramp or floorpit, so I cannot check the underside properly - I know a couple of the perishables need replacing & the handbrake is near enough non-existent, apart from that I cannot see much else wrong - however this may change when I have the chassis/underside inspected properly!. Can anyone recomend a garage local to myself that can do the inspection, sort any problems & get the new MOT on it? - I am in Nuneaton, so anywhere around Cov, Hinckley, Brum would be great.
I was going to send it to RT racing in Sheffield to have the chassis treatment done & the MOT at the same time, but my budget may not stretch that far!, if there is not much that needs doing, paying for it to be transported up there may be a little OTT - I basically have £500 to spend absoloute max!.
So what do all you wedgers advise?
Cheers in advance

TBH I would spend £50 on a trolley jack and some decent axle stands and get under the car myself. I've done loads of jobs this way including dropping the diff and the gearbox a couple of times. It's not my preferred way of doing things but as I don't have the luxury of a pit or a lift of some description, it's a case of needs must.
Try Craig at TyreTorque, Tyseley, Birmingham (Tel 0121 753 0415)
He was recommended to me by BrummieWedge who also posts on this site.
Craig is a top guy and charged me a very reasonable price for all the work I had done. He's full of suggestions and ideas - he seems very clued up and has worked on a few TVRs.
Well worth a phone call.
