for the first time the 400 let me down today, i was right in the middle of hinckey at the time. fuel pump would not run, rang the wif to bring the multimeter, while i was waitng remembered i had aa cover with the bank, so called the aa. then rang badredwedge to find where the pump relay was. could not get me multimeter on to the pump, but the aa only took 15 mins to arrive, no feed to the pump, was just checking the inertia switch under the bonnet when i noticed a wire had come off, put the 2 wires together and she burst back in to life. will check all the connection over the weekend, thanks you to bedredwedge for checking in his bible for wiring diagram.
Happened only the once to me (390)...9pm in Tescos car park, just as the local chavs club turned up to compare daft tin drainpipes and fake scoops on their 1 litre Corsas.
I'm sitting there trying to look nonchalent. Wears a bit thin after half an hour, and not even a working radio, and it's starting to spot with rain, and I haven't brought the centre section

Apparently after I put in the call for assistance the AA blokes back at HQ argued for fifteen minutes as to who got the short straw and was going to take the call! The last time they got called to a TVR that wouldn't start it took the guy four hours to fix it!
The conversation went like this.......
AA Woman on phone: 'And what car, make and model is it?'
Me: 'Er, yes its a TVR 450SE and it dosen't start'
AA Woman: 'oh'
