Well I'm sorry to say I failed totally

As the organiser for the Fantasy Ride out.

It all seemed to go pear shaped for my organisational skills

Apologies to those that wanted to ride in the purple turtle

Next year we will do this, at the same time as the Tech Talks !!!!

In pennance I help 2 Wedges get back on the road and hopefully home safely after breakdowns and I promise to give the Wedge a good thrashing fo my sins

Hearing the sound of the smoke alarm that GSX set off brings it all back for me, even the smoke haze lasted a good half and hour

Have to apologise to Combine....(??) I think, sorry if I seemed a tad short but I was tooling around the car park to make the fault appear after a fiddle. It was apparant so could not take you out for a blat. Any other time, no problem.

Well I managed to get Steve hall into SEvans cossie turbo, mr Scott into the supercharged Wiesmann, and myself into L33's 450 JE engineering engined 350i for the runout so no complaints here!

Anyway Paul, top effort with organising the BBWSV and everything else you contributed to a top weekend.

Well done for that Rog and many thanks to Steve Evans for taking me. Great car Steve - it felt about as quick as my 420SE. When you've sorted the little niggles out it will be an absolute cracker. It certainly suprised one particular 400 who seemed determined not to let a "humble 200" stay in front of him!

Was that anything to do with a downhill radient, a sharp left-hander and a Subaru coming the other way? I was 200 yards back and even Kirk had a sharp intake of breath... if Subaru-man had been 'making progress' as well it could have gone slightly wrong...

Nope it was exiting a roundabout on the Fosse Way - a 50 yard stretch of 2 lanes before merging and traffic in front and approaching.

It was a fellow Wedge owner he seemed very keen to pass. I was taking it a bit easier as I was running out of fuel and the exhaust was getting a bit of a battering on some of the roads (something that needs looking at as it's a tad low).

A pleasure taking you out in the car Steve, hope everything works out OK with your health.

Jeff Morgan - your red monster sounded evil , how does it sound so bad ?, yes would have liked a run out. Need to arrange something soon. I think 350 Matt wanted a run out in the 400sx too.
