Standing down from BBWF organisation

All,

This was my 3rd go at organising BBWF - the first ever was with Neil & Karen Hyde and all since have been truely excellent and a real credit to wedge owners.

Only those that have been to BBWF know that these are the best TVR owners out there.. no pretensions just great people.

I'm planning to move aside and let someone else have a go at the helm - maybe spend more time in the garage with the wedge and future mods than on the keyboard.

Naturally - I will be at next year's BBWF whereever it is and will be more than happy to helpout.

I wanted to improve on last years by organising better with more content (stuff to do) and delegate more.

I think most was achieved - just never got the fantasy wedge run out as we ran out of time..

But it was superb and that's all we wanted.

Well done Alan, the event has become a huge success under your leadership.
It is the paradigm looked to by other single model TVR groups to base their own events on.
Great to hear you'll be around and ready to offer your expertise for future BBWF's.
Rest assured we'll follow your example in keeping to the principles of open debate and shared decision making which have been the hallmarks of your tenure as our chief event organiser.

Know these things don't just happen by themselves, and a lot of time and effort is needed to bring it all together. Your name will always be synonymous with the organisation of BBWF, and a great job you do Rev. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing

Thanks Alan for all your organising over the last 3 years, it just goes from strength to strength every year.
It was good to see you again this year although I,m now required to park in the 'naughty boys' car park. Unfortunately I had to leave very early afternoon this year due to family commitments, but I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Shame I couldn,t hang about for the run out, usually great fun !!!

Looking forward to next year.

Spot on. The foundations have been firmly set for the future organisers.
Thanks again for all you have done. Lets be honest the TVRCC didn't want to know the Wedgefest but you & the gang made it so good & so big that they have had to & so many others have copied your blueprint. A truly superb job Rev

Cheers Rev, and everyone else for that matter who makes BBWF happen. The event really helps gel the Wedge community, even for those who cannot make it for one reason or another.

Sorry to hear that you are standing down Alan. You have done an excellent job over the last 3 years and you will be a very hard act to follow. I would have loved to have done more to help this year, but with my ankle and the heat, I just couldn't do it unfortunately. However if everything is OK by the time of the next fest, I would like to help out a lot more if I can and am allowed to?
