different height (left-right) of my wedge-front

when i watch my tasmin from front it looks like it sats lower on the right (driver-side) than on the left. all coils have been replaced recently (the shocks a few time before). any idea what it is?

Yep, it's quite common and probably how the body sits on the chassis. Mine is the same.

hmmmm....but it doesnt look really nice...any possibilities to adjust it with shims?

Find some flat ground (really flat, not just a flat-ish bit of tarmac) and measure the chassis height on each side. It's the only real way to see if the chassis is sitting level, measuring the body is hopeless.

Yes, if it is the body not sitting level. That's how the factory did it. In fact the Triumph Spitfire was also renowned for poor body to chassis fit and the factory had to shim every car individually. Restorers sometimes miss this and rebuild without shims, then wonder why nothing fits properly...

Spent a good few hours doing this. On mine the ground to chassis clearances were the same both sides. The ground to body clearance just in front of the doors was also the same both sides. It was just the front spoiler clearance that was different. I couldn't really see any way of fixing this as adding shims would have just made the problem worse in other areas. Worth doing though, as yours may be caused by something else.

Mine looks slightly lower on the drivers side from the back, but everything seems level underneath, so must be the body fit.

lol...same here...the drivers side is lower....as i´m slim and the former owner, too the springs shouldnt be saggy....interesting is that after jacking-up the car (and putting it back down) its more visible.

by the way: today i passed the german MOT without any problems (i imported the car from uk about 4 weeks ago).
