Hello all
I've got a 350i convertible
The drivers side window has some scratches in it where the window mechanism
has been in contact with the glass
Can anyone tell me which car the side windows came from? I'm hoping they're
not specially made for the car! If they are can they be polished out?

TVR specials I believe.
HOWEVER, I have been told that you can buy the window glass, remanufactured from a leading UK glass place - could have been autoglass but can't remember for definate.
No doubt someone will be along soon to tell you where.
You might get your answer sooner by doing a search of this forum as it has been discussed before.
As for polishing, depends on how deep the scratches are.

I guess I should have done a search of the message board!
I've mailed Phil (seems like a chap worth knowing!) and will let you know how it goes
The scratches spoil the look of the car as you get into it so I'm pleased that it
may be possible to replace the glass. Price sounds reasonable too!

Ay up Blaine, do you know how to get red wine stains out of a Carpet.
Table salt is great for that. Just pour on mounds of the stuff onto a freshly wined carpet and the salt sucks the wine out the carpet overnight.
Simply vacuum the red coloured salt up in the morning.
Result.
Now, anyone know how to get oil of wifeys best top which accidently got used as a rag?
