I have a 280 series 1 car, I think it's actually usually called a series 1 1/2.
It had a later front put on it by the previous owner. She had it done in Maryland (US) which is not a lot of help to you.

I think all the dimensions will be the same, however grafting on the lower spoiler will require a lot of work I think. Its not a simple bolt on process. You would need to cut your nose cone on each side and do lots of fibre-glassing to make new mounts for the later style lower spoiler. This will need to be made quite strong as you will be cutting into an area which supports/houses the front pop-up lights. You would also need to change the shape of the air dam arrangement on your car. Not impossible to do though I don't reckon. I think you will also then need to find a Series 1.5 lower spoiler because these had an additional flaring which goes up the side of the wheel arch a little way. The later Series 2 Wedges had this attached to the nose cone, but obviously you wont have this. I think the bumper will be a straightforward swap though, although you will need new light clusters etc.
To be honest, I don't think its something I would attempt myself as it would be far, far easier and quicker to buy a Series 2 car. An alternative would be to find a crashed Series 2 car and chop the entire front off it, and then graft a whole section onto the front of yours, say from the start of the bonnet forwards. You would also be ruining the sharp styling of a Series 1 car too by chopping it about, and the new "smooth" front probably wouldn't be in-keeping with the "sharper" side skirts and rear bumper/light arrangement.

I did this with my Series 1. There's a lot of fettling involved but its worth it. Can give you some pointers if you email me. If you live near London I might be able to give you a hand. I could even spray it for you too...Don't be put off by Digga's comments as its not such a difficult job if you know what you are doing.
