By the way PWD95, why have you got a Jag air flow meter on your V8 ?? Is it a bigger size than the original Rover one ?? Is it a straight swop or does it require a bit of fiddling with to make it fit ??

Bigger flow apparently. Combined with ECU mod and bigger injectors = more go. Not sure if it's only suted to the flapper type system.

As far as the red 400 goes. If the chassis and engine are good then It's a bargain for sure.

I looked at this car back in the summer when it was in autotrader for £5.8k.

I was very tempted as it was extremely quick and cosmetically very good. However I was put off buying it having raised a question or two on this forum. The reason being that there were unidentified gearbox problems (possible box replacement), and also the chassis was very rusty (no protective coating) although I couldn't find any holes in it.

At that price I might have taken a chance though.
