Oz Wheels - Deal with the Devil ?

I found a new product in the local car shop and decided to
give it a go.

I polished the wheels as usual with autosol (alloy polish) - these
are neat alloy no lacqueer.

Then added this silicon seal :



I think they have come up well - this is just a clear liquid sealer and I'm hoping it will help to keep off the rain and winter corrusion.

Not sure if the silicon will make polishing the next time more difficult or not..

Anyone else tried it.

Haven't tried it, but your results look very good!
Hope no over spray went on the discs!!

It's not a spray - just rub on with a cloth - then buff..

That sounds like good old fashioned value for money then (and a lot safer). You know the days when you bought a tin 'full' of the product you wanted, not just a drop of it and loads of compressed air!!

Looks great.
Rather than a silicon based product to finish off, I use WD40 - I kid you not.
It has come very highly recommended on many forums, gives good results and does not allow dirt to bake itself on to your wheels. Just a hose off is all that is needed to remove brake dust.

Don't know if the above link will work , but it's for a product call Scotoiler Protect. It can be bought from most motor bike shops. Works well on my bike and I've sprayed it about on the Tiv too.

That looks very good.

I use Autoglum metal polish on the outer rim, my rims arent laqured, i would like to have them prof polished but i cant aford the rebuild for all of the 120 bolts that the four wheels togeather... bugger...

well for now ill have to put up with elbo greass.

You should worry. I'm in the process of doing 10 of the buggers!
