Well that is sad; very sad indeed.
Invited to list our cars at the top, I listed my car as 420SEAC alt body, yellow, black/yellow int.
This is the correct description of the car, and I have repeatedly said that I would not at any time describe it as a standard SEAC; that I would describe it as a SEAC with alternative (or different) bodywork.
Someone has quite deliberately changed the description to 420 SE alt body. Whoever this is is a very sad and shallow individual. The sense of power thay must feel in being able to exert some influence over another must be quite palpable.
I had thought that the sniping about this car had come to an end. It is clear that there are within the Wedge community perhaps a few individuals who are very poor examples of humanity.
If the car cannot remain listed as a 420SEAC alt body, then it may be better for it to be removed altogether.
Whilst I wish you all well, I do get the impression that there are some seriously nasty people amongst you, and I question the value of remaining a Wedger at all.
Good Luck!

As I have very clearly stated I have not any any time misled nor shall I at any time seek to mislead anyone regarding this car. The description I posted is a legally correct and accurate description of the car.
What you have just said, David, is a libel and I expect you to retract your remark forthwith.

If the car can be proved to have been made with some kevlar, then it should be a SEAC as that's what the AC stands for, I don't know the history of the car. but it could be the 1st prototype SEAC, before the reshape but if it has Kevlar then its more of a SEAC than the 450 that don't.
It would be nice to know the full history of the car and to end this is it or is'nt it.

Not all SEAC's have Kevlar. Only a handful of racers .. The rest have good old FibreGlass like the rest of us.It would be nice to know the full history of the car and to end this is it or is'nt it.
IMHO If he wants to class his car as an ant. SEAC.. Then thats up to him. My God why all the anal retension ?
If you want to be picky, how many SEACs or other wedges are running non origional cc's ? how many 4.6's have found their way into SEAC Bodys?
Can we not class these as "Non SEAC's" too ?

As I understand it, the car in question has not got an Aramid body. But it does have a 420 engine. It would be nice to know the full history of the car and to end this is it or is'nt it.
The body is standard-ish 350 / 390 hybrid
FF has researched long and hard on the car. It was sold as a SEAC by the auctioneers, but it has proved to be impossible to verify its actual status. The SEAC bods are naturally very wary of anyone trying to pass off a normal wedge (if there is such a thing) as a SEAC. (I'm not saying that FF is trying to pass off either)
The elements that make up a SEAC are generally agreed to be:
SEAC body shape
SEAC engine
Use of composits in construction of that body
Uprated / rose jointed suspension.
The only problem is that whilst TVR may have always (?) done the first two, they didn't always do the second two. So you could have a SEAC with no Aramid, and no rose jointing.
The burning question is whether you can have a SEAC with no rose jointing, no Aramind AND no SEAC body shape..
