New exhaust to go on the 350i

Hi Guys ... I have just purchased a new ACT sports exhaust for the TIV

Before I start is there any pearls of wisdom I need to consider before I remove / cut the old one off?

That's spooky - I was thinking of driving over to ACT tomorrow to talk about a new set of manifolds for my 350i

Be prepared to have to heat the new one up with a blow torch and tweek it with a sledge hammer to make it fit

Thanks ... Anyone know where I can get the crush seals / rings between the manifold down pipes and the exhaust? I take it all the other clamps fittings are standard?

If act can't sell you some with the exhaust, then I think RT racing may do them, if not re-use the old ones with some exhaust paste. I sure they don't crush that much, mine did'nt, and I re-used them with paste, and they are fine.

TVR car parts or Richard Thorpe.. they supplied me solid ones not crush.

I expect ACT can also supply.

They are called "olives" and you can use Jag ones, ask any decent exhaust place.
