Oh very nice! the wonder of this funny old tinter-web eh?!

Sounds good, im usually about and up for a blast so no trouble! Just let me know when your about and we'll sort something out! I assume the light lifting mechanisms are all the same? I got them from my uncle, who had them for a TR7 he restored (i know....) and he kept them for his 400se just in case...

Hope they do the job for you!

Safe trip back ed!

Well, kinda nice in a subtle way... Company somehow forgot to pay for my ticket, so I had to pay for it myself when I got to Gatwick, so now Im £800 down until I get it back...

Not a great thing to discover at 0800 on Sunday morning...

Oh, and Barclays then chose to lock my account as a random air ticket lookd like fraudulent activity to them. Fair play, but lucky I decided to check b4 boarding...

Travelling on business... Glamorous?? Err, not exactly...

It woulda baan alright had I been able to get a 450SEAC as a rental car. Now THERES a thought!

Mind you, I drove a Pontiac Grand Prix 5.3 V8 tiptronic today, and that was quite rapid.

5.3 litres, and FRONT wheel drive?!? schoolboy error. Without the traction control it scampers like hell off the line.

Which bit of the the mechanism are you after Ed? I have just brought some TR7 headlight mechanisms as I needed parts out of the motor to replace a bit that had failed, and the only bit that is the same is the motor, everything else is different!

Yeh, I had a pod jam and the motor got rather hot under the collar. Suspect the varnish on the windings is breaking down and theyre shorting out, reducing the electric field strength of the armatures. That pod takes longer to lift. The affected motor also likes to pop a fuse now and then, so I am going to replace the motor and gearbox. Everything else is fine.
