Is it easy to remove the drivers seat (and re-fit it!). I'm sure I remember someone telling me that it is an absolute nigtmare, you undo all the nuts/bolts and it moves but doesn't come out?

I'm just want to repair a little of the leather stitching.

Thanks.

Should be able to get under the car, remove the four nuts on the bolts that come through the body work, go in the cockpit and just lift the seat up to free the base and then pull the seat out. Should not take too long smile

Just as Paul has posted. 4 bolts that go through the seat runners - the nuts are under the car. Dead easy and shouldn't take more than 15 mins per seat.

The problem with undoing the nuts - is that the bolts can turn as well. This is because the bolt heads are not always a snug fit in the seat runners. There is not much space to get a spanner in there, so can be a slow job.

No problem - simply go on to the top of the nuts with an open ended spanner.
I know you cannot get a spanner on in the usuall fashion but attack the bolt heads at 90 degrees rather than the conventinal 180 degrees.
Easy.

If not angle grind them off.

Just do it in a few stages, as the bolts can get very hot.
