Ok new project starting soon.

I just bought a unfinshed 350FH project. its just a chassi and body.

I plan on turning it into a track car / Dunlop Challange car, if all goes well.

Going to buy a ex 280 race car, for all the race parts, then build a 4.6 or 5ltr RV8.

Was not planing to start this project just yet. but this x project came up and I could not turn it down. as it's exactly what I was planing on getting.

just have to make some room, just have to speed up my other plan of taking out the 12 foot wide hedge at the side of my house and replacing it with a wall, this should give me a lot of spare space, as now the house is over 15 years old, and the no-mods rule on the estate has been lifted. just have to wait for the pikies to knock again, and I'll let them cut the lot down. as its 10' high.

Well I've been given a ok price for a 280 race car, with out engine Gearbox, I will use this for all the race parts rose jointed suspension, racing breaks, harness , roll cage, and safty gear. I will put all this onto the 350 FH to make it into a rolling chassi race car, then I'll have to start on the engine. the plain is to use a 4.6 or 5ltr cross bolted block. and a megasquirt or emrald ECU. with a twin or carbon plemum. and a T5 box.

After this depending on how many bits I have left I may re-make the 280i back into a road car, as I have a 2nd donor 280i with bent chassi.

Thank you.

Was not planing to do so soon, but the bits I want are quite rare I.e. 350FH and have come up cheap. should cost 4k (if I do all the work myself.) to have a full race spec car minus engine and gear box. then depends on any extra's and how much I have left I can then select a engine and gear box. to fit my budget. I think that this route will be the best way to go.
Also while buliding the car, I can keep a look out for engines and parts. as its allways cheeper to buy when stuff comes up, instead of buying when you need. I may just get a cheep standard 3.5 V8 to test all the parts. then build the race engine on the side.

I'm picking up the 280FH donor car saturday, and then the 350FH in 3 weeks, and then hopfully the 280 Race car for all the race parts.

Well I have agreed to buy the 280 Tasmin racecar 55, I will check over the car at brans hatch, and finalise the deal there. I can then start transfering all the parts to the 350 chassi.

Thanks for the pic of the car.
I'll try and find you at brans on the 1st/2nd and have a chat, about the mods need to the chassi.

Hopfully by then the new regs will be sorted also so I can find out what they are.
