Not a happy chappie!!!!

Well, although non wedge related, it just goes to show how quickly these things happen and how sometimes its great to not be in the wedge!!!
Driving back from my parents tonight in the Dis-astra and on a road through town a car coming over the brow of the hill in a 40 was in the middle of the road and drove straight into the side of my car!! Luckily i managed to dive into the bank and only my mirror was ripped off and sent down the side of the car!
I stopped and the other car just carried on going!! You know when you have one of those 'grrrrrrrr im about to lose my temper moments???....i had one!
Did a very rapid U turn and went car chasing in the hope i might be able to catch them...with a big of guess work and swift over taking to my surprise there was a honda jazz with the mirror hanging off!! SO...in true police style i over took and stopped in front of them to block the road, jumped out and ran to the car window saying something along the lines of 'im not very impressed with what just happened!!!'
Anyway, the door opens and out comes a sweet old lady, at least 70, with her husband the other side...i proceeded to give them a bit of a bo££oc£ing for not stopping but soon realised it was a genuine mistake and they had no idea what had really happended!
They are going to pay for the damage and it will all be fine but now i feel guilty for shouting and police style stopping someones grandparents..
I appologised twice but somehow i still feel awful...at least if it was a 17 year old i could give them a good telling off but a sweet old couple...?
Anyway, thought id share my random experience!

So if the 'sweet old couple' ran over some kid would you have the same viewpoint? You should have grabbed the keys and thrown them over the hedge (and the keys).
Driving around in a car (which is basically a lethal weapon on wheels) and not even knowing that you had just clouted somebody is horrendous.
Shoot 'em I say. [woosy washy liberal mode off/]
On another point, I was reading in bed the other night (around 1am) only to hear an almighty clout outside, and then another and then another.
Running outside fearing the worst that somebody had just run into me cars I found that a car had driven down the road and basically bounced off three cars on my street one after another.
All of the people in the street came running out to see what had happened and the three cars that were hit were pretty mangled (one a write off).
The car that had hit them was at the bottom of my street crashed into a house wall engine still running.
This drunk woman had decided to drive home from the pub at the top of my street absolutely pissed out of her brains.
The residents and car owners that she mangled (all super enraged) decided to drag her out and basically beat the crap out of her! Quite entertaining really until the riot squad turned up and maced everybody!
Ahhhh life in the valleys! ;-)
You gotta be careful theres maniacs about!!!

feck em. Don't care how sweet they are, if they can merrily drive along like that oblivious to an accident they've caused and been involved in (which could have been much much worse by the sounds of it) they don't belong on the road in anything other than a bus.
If it was a young lad there'd be mutterings of dangerous driving, driving without due care and so on, no reason it should be any different for the wrinklies if they're that bad.

I know! Couldnt believe the sheer obliviousness of the whole thing!
Good news is they are putting the cash in the post...its a company car but i work for a small firm and its just not worth the insurance agro!
Still, they coughed up so good job!
Now lets tie some tyres around the wedge....!!
