My new AVO's arrived and one of the 4 has a problem.

Has anyone run into the situation where the adjustment knob binds up and is totally un turnable by fingers?? It is noticeably harder in all settings to the other 3, but if you set it at 5 to 7, it is impossible to back off by hand. I ran it once to the full clockwise to see if it would go and had to put an allen wrench in to get back to the first setting.

thanks,
Scott

You could try a bit of penetrating oil..

My AVO's rusted so badly in 2 years - I removed them from the car !

I would recommend spraying they regularly with oil.

Yep.

As rev said.

Mine lasted about three months before seizing up solid. Now freed up with penetrating oil.

Suggest you grease them up good before putting them on the car. especially as the fronts you can only get fingertips to.

I origionally set mine 7 clicks on the front and 5 on the back. I have since upped both settins three clicks each.

Happy wedging.

Wee man.

You guys are great! Thanks a million. One squirt and this one is now the easiest to turn.

I feel like an idiot for not trying the lube, but who would have thought they would come out of the box this way?

cheers guys,
Scott
