does anyonne know were the radiator from 350i comes from or anyone that can recon them for decent not silly money,i am in sunny lancs if anyone close.i have heard people say its rover sdi

Did mine last year. My local sercs did a recore for me. Range rover they recon. Mine's a 4.5 too & it seems to cope ok.

It's a early landrover.

Do a search I did a post of part numbers a few months back.

It's a modified Rover rad. Best thing and cheapest is to get a recore. That way you get excatly the same rad back with the pipes in the right place. Should cost around £100 ish.

Only mods I can see, is the fitting of the otter switch, and blanking off the extra hose fitting.
Also when I was trying to get a re-core it was about £180.

I paid a bit extra and fitted a Ali rad from radtec, used a Griff one, but had to add a header tank feed. but then your also need new twin fans.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on there; your bonnet appears to be hinged at the wrong end biggrin

Aye, I undid the hinge bolts and held it up with the stair spindle as you can see. The recore was £115 or so.

& I can still smell the antifreeze in the garage hehe

thanks all, i have found someone who will recon it for £160,which does seem ok comes recommended by my mechanic.

What's the scale up the right-hand side? Is that how deep the garage floods in winter? hehe

I want to know why you are creosoting the underneath of the car anyway smile Do you have an early wood chassis wedge ?

Sounds about the right price. even though new ones are cheeper, but then you have to get them moded.
