Shadowfax Sale?

As you guys know I am looking to, sadly, find a new home for my 400SE.
I had hoped it would find a new local stable but that now looks somewhat unlikely so I have reluctantly cast the net to a wider audience and to date have had one or two telephone enquiries from here in UK and several emails from US/Canada and a couple from Holland one of which looks possibly worth pursuing but interested in your thoughts - what with the stories of all these internet scams etc.

I received the following on Saturday

"
Dear Steve,

my name is Gerritt Fukkink and I live in the Holland city of Zutphen
I have noticed the famous white wedge "Shadowfax" is now for sale from you, yes?.

Since when I was younger aand at Rijkshogeschool IJselland in Steenenskammer I passed by the first 350 v8 ? or maybe 390 SE perhaps? and ohh that sounds were making my ears heard loudly-WOW!

Older now with sound finacial position as my work keeps me at Streekzieken Het Nieuwe Spittal very well paid I am at last to be able maybe my dream of a big bad wedge like that one i saw so many years passed.

Is possible for pictures etc to be sent to me please? I am loving big wedges in white as particular and may be in position to arrange shippent from you directly if this is ok with you?

THanks for the informative replies guys - so it looks like a genuine person then so I guess no harm in sending more details & pics to this guy?

He already mailed me back stating he has monies in place and is in position to act imediately which is good, I suppose.

Just not sure that allowing more wedges out of the UK particularly to Holland (home of the SEAC)is a great idea but I guess the fewer good ones we have left will push prices up next season?

Be interested to know if its same guy who approached you Badred

Right then latest update

Mr Fukkink is very keen to send me a cheque next week! But not too sure about how thats going to pan out yet

Got prspective purchasers from South Wales (The Welsh one not Antipodean) and Essex
plus a trip down to give someone in Somerset a test drive on Sunday.

So all in all things are looking a bit lively on the sales front despite the time of year!
