Headlamp part wanted!

You know that flimsy chrome ring that clamps the lens unit into the shell? One of mine is like lace; it's about ready to fall apart and let the lamp drop out. I know VWP sell them as complete kits but all I need is one ring; anyone got a spare (even if slightly scruffy) lying around unloved?
Way back in the good old days I'd have wandered down the scrappy but as (a) they're never open on Sundays now and (b) when was the last time you saw a car with 7" round headlamps?

I have got a spare you can have, bit of over spray on it and chrome not fantastic but very functional.

Yes and no: right size, slightly different design so wouldn't fit.

Hi,Wipac do a plastic backing bowl/replacement which should do it,pick one up at most panel replacement places,Hadrian or similar.Tempus

Dont know how to do them linky things but if you look on ebay and put head lamp chrome rims in, you will find some 7" rims for a MGB dont know if these would fit like.

I fitted Wipac units and was very pleased with the better beam pattern enabling me to see further than the end of the bonnet. Also the reflector is all plastic as well as the backing bowl so even more resistance to tin worm.
