Got in a bit of a mess with headlights. Car is due for MOT and main beam wasn't working so raised lights and removed headlight from pod to check bulb and wiring.
Put light back in pod but stupidly didn't fit the screws while was checking round other bits.
Few minutes later flicked switch and knew straight away that shouldn't have done that, as pod went down and light fell out.
Light is now jammed under front edge of the opening so can't raise pod.
Kicking myself a bit about this, but is there supposed to be a way of manually raising the lights so can try to slowly lift them while trying to keep light pushed out of the way.

Yes
Underneath the car, behind the foglamps, there should be a hole in the botom of the light well

Look inside it with a lamp

You should see a black turnyknob. Turn it a lot of times. This is the manual lift.

However, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE LIFT FUSES FIRST, as it can hurt when the motor gets the hump about you manually raising th lights and kicks back at you.

You should then be able to raise the pod in the manner you state, and all will be well!

Hope this helps, and dotn forget to remove the fuses!

Ed.

Thanks Ed, car is stuck outside so will have another look when it stops raining.
Sounds like you are talking from experience about the fuses!

The other option is to remove the relays.

I think a lot of us have been there. also the springs have a habbit of pinging out if the bolt comes loose.

Is so make sure you put a stong one in, else you lights will bounce around a lot. and everone will think your flashing them wink
