Someone on Orange hates Tasmins
Discussion
What a shame, 'cos they're quite rare and the Ser 1 was the first of the wedges, see
http://www.orange.co.uk/cars/pics/3175_8.htm?linkf...
and yes I had a +2 auto which was, in fact, a pretty bad car but I forgave it because it was a Tiv !

I wouldn't worry. Apart from the fact he's quite right, the Tasmin IS fairly unaesthetic from some angles at least, the comments on everal of the other cars on their shows it was written by someone with a p155-poor grasp of motoring history. He picks up on petty things like 'the 2CV was blamed for an increase in traffic jams in Paris'
Well so would any other car that happened to come along just then... but quite apart from that he's ignoring the engineering brilliance that was the 2CVs suspension system and, in general, the whole concept - the 2CV was, after all, France's Beetle, a car for the masses.
In similar vein the Isetta bubble car: produced in an age when they were lucky to have a factory to build them in, let alone any materials to work with.
There had just been a war, ar53hole!
The Ford Sierra had 'freakishly small headlights'. Oh woe. The one car that dragged auto styling kicking and screaming out of the slab-sided 3-box '70's had a minor issue with some glass... the headlamp manufacturers themselves were struggling to come to terms with producing anything other than 5.75" or 7" round lenses FFS, give them a chance.
...and the Tasmin. A car that despite nearly sinking the company became the basis for some of the most hairy-arsed vehicles ever to turn heads and ruin underwear
See? Not so clever after all, is he?

Thats either an s2 or a 2+2 def not an s1
I was just about to say it looks like an S2 or 2+2Whats not to like about it?? It was a good looking car, although the S1 does have a certain charm, especially when set back to period look....like this:

I cant believe they have the Alfa 75 on there too!

Im almost sure its the one i used to own in the 90s ,the plate rings a bell if its black and not dark blue ,its probably the one
Seen one on ebay about 18 months back which looked like it ,it looked black in the photos emailed seller it turned out to be dark blue
It looked quite nice the above one in its 2 tone paint i think the S1 car were better looking than s2s
Part exed it for a s2 350
Be nice to some interior and engine bay shots to confirm
Many thanks Mark
