How do I identify which relay is the right one for the lefthand headlight motor on a 1984 Tasmin 350i. There are no numbers on the relays themselves and the diagrams in Steve Heath's book don't resemble the relay layout on the car??????? Help anyone please.

Swap like for like relays (pin numbers and positions)or wait till tomorrow and i can look in the shed.Tempus

There is usually a legend on the relay somewhere showing contact configuration etc. I believe a 4 pin for example can a few variations so I am careful when swapping around to test them.

This is the layout on my 350, sorry about the quality, hope you can read it!



If swapping relays around be very careful of the centre pin marking as quite a few are marked 87a but the ECU is just 87 and I found out the hard way!!
