Any members had problems with what appears to be a buckled bonnet? Mine sits flush with the wing on one side but sits about an 30mm proud on the other. End with the hinges is fine. I have checked the gas springs that hold up the bonnet in case one is a different stroke or body length than the other but they are fine. Didn't think fibreglass was prone to "twisting" but maybe I am wrong?!?

I noticed on my 400 bonnet the front edge had an inner strengtning fibreglass and this had come adrift from the main bonnet glass fibre and hence was also not sitting correctly.

Filled it full of glass gell and compresed together until set and then sat a lot better on the car looking lined up again both wings and no dip in the font compared to the nosecone

Probably weighs another kilo now smile

Is it the driver's side that's sticking up - the other side to the catch?

Adam, yes it's the drivers side. However, my catch is in the middle of the bonnet.

Hi
They can twist also most tend to flatted and lose the wing profile.
Check its not sitting on the strut pivot when shut - 1 or 2 washers behind the pivot fixing into the wing can help - tends to reduce the struts coming unclipped when shutting bonnet.

My bonnet sits on a rubber pads at either side (near the screen bulkhead)
Back the bonnet catch off - set the rubber pads and then reset the bonnet catch so that it pulls the bonnet onto the pads it should then sit level.

Hope that makes sense.

Mine does that too. I thought it was my header tank propping up one side...
