window frames (doors wedge "85)

The CURVED window guide rails are very NLA.
Theyre also a b*stard to make cos theyre curved. They also tend to rot away where they bolt into the bottom of the GRP door shell.
Ive got a problem with the passenger door on mine, but its OK for now...
The real difficult bit will be to mandrel bend a piece of straight channel without distorting it...
If you can acheive that, then its just a case of replicating the gubbins on the top of the channels, and attaching a bracket to the bottom to fix it inot the car. The felted guide strip is available by the metre from people like Woolies trim.

Graham, replied on the other thread before I noticed this one.
No idea where to buy them from. I do recall making some for a cobra kit car with hard top we built a few years back. Unfortunately, the immense medication ive been on this year has wiped a lot of my memory so Ive no idea how we did them or who might have done them. I'll check with my dad tomorrow and see if he can remember anything about em.
Im guessing tho that these will be much harder due to the compound curves in them.

Graham,
Right, had a chat with the old man and between us we remembered how we made some for a cobra kit car with a hard top.
-We took some 10mm square bar and used that as a former, carefully bending it (with some gentle heating for the rear corner) to form the outline of where the window would sit when fully raised.
-Measure the window thickness and whatever seal you are using to determine your max width dimension.
-We then bought some "c" section (cant recall if it was mild steel or stainless) to suit this dimension so that the seal and window were a snug fit into it.
-Next we moulded this c section over the former. Luckily the rear bend was quite shallow so we didnt need to weld it, but on the wedge you could use a 45 degree joint in the rear corner, just weld the edges and leave the main section uncut.
-The section was then fitted on the door and cut to the appropriate lengths.
-I remember them being shiny so they were either stainless or we had them plated somewhere, but that part of the info is still hidden by the meds.
-Car was sent off to Germany and we never heard of it again!
Hope thats of some use to you.
