Howdo chaps

Ive just spent a part of the afternoon chatting with a former racer with the TVR Tasmin crew who has a 280i Racer in his possession, but has found himself without the time to race it due to family & other racing commitments

The chaps name is Liam O'Toole and his Tasmin, has to be said, is in lovely condition. It hasnt been raced for a few years, but has been kept in dry storage. Engine was rebuilt in 2003 and only has a few hundred miles on the clock

Its almost ready to go, all it could use is a battery (or the existing ones charging) and possibly fuel lines replacing

If anyone is interest, drop me an email through PH and I'll pass on the info to Liam

Alright Flash-heart laugh

Its unbelievable to see the condition that Liams kept the car in...or is it just me that managed to get Struans car after he enjoyed so much destruction derby hehe

Well I've allready got one also.

but its a dam site cheaper to buy one than make one.

I would recomend taking the body off, and giving it a full check over, before racing though, even for pease of mind.

How much does he want - ballpark?
Can it be converted for road use?
Is it an FHC?

Its a fixed head, it would be a pita to get it back onthe road but not impossible.

not sure I'd like to run a taz on the road with a full cage, certainly not with out a helmet !!!

Around the 2.5k mark - Thats because its a fully setup racecar raring to go

Im sure it could be converted for road use, but as Graham has already said, with a full rollcage it wouldnt be the most luxurious vehicle on the road AND it would probably cheaper to buy an FHC roadcar than it would to buy a well established racer.

Yes its a series 2 FHC

That is seriously stupidly low money for what it would cost to prepare a car anywhere near that standard...

maybe the car is too cheap?

no joke: with such a low price people start to get sceptic "there must be something wrong with the car, otherwise he wouldnt sell it so cheap"

when the price would be 3500 or more people maybe would say : "look at this nice race car, thats a good value for the money"
