4X4 engine/T9 g-box into a Tasmin?
Discussion
Right chaps, bit of a dilemma
Ive secured the purchase of a Cologne 2.8i with full running gear and ancilleries, only problem is, its off of an XR4X4
now Ive been told its not too much of a problem, just remove half shafts, change sump, pickup & flywheel and it should all drop together....but Ive just been chatting with a guy who breaks and sells XR4i's and XR4X4's and he doesnt think that its possible to mate the Type 9 4X4 gearbox up on a RWD car
Anyone have the appropriate info?

Best thing is to get a nackered standard 2.8 and gearbox.
And then swap the bits you need.
what's up the the engine etc you got with the car.
no such thing old pal, I got a chassis and a body...ohh and some wheels too And then swap the bits you need.

Apparently aslong as you change the sump out and oil pickup for a RWD version, you can drop the diff and shafts and hey presto...one RWD V6
Although someone has just started me back thinking what it would take to make a AWD Tasmin

try asking on here http://www.granada-and-scorpio-online.com/forums/f...
there are a few guys on there that modify capri's etc.
