350i technical questions.

hi guys,
first question : what make (donor car ) are the sunvisors from ?
second question : What make or partnumber is the reverse light switch on gearbox ?

Car is a 1987 350i 5 speed.

TVRCARPARTS have some original sunvisors - I believe..
part of the stock they bought from TVR.

I found that all they do when they are up in block your view upwards, and down you cant see where you are going!!

Just get your shades on!!

Reverse light switches ,is yours a short stubby thread(M16x2)lucas 35631 or 30972.if different put pic. or any numbers on this thread and i will look at other options. Tempus

All the V8 wedges used a LT77 gearbox, so the reverse light switch, should be on the rimmer brothers site.

I had problems with my sun visors which were odd and looked like Mk1 Ford Fiesta. I took them off and as a result of the weight saving my car now does 0-60mph in 2 secs. Unfortunately, I found that large metal framed sunglasses offset the weight saving. However, if you do a search on ebay you may be able to find some McDonalds special edition ultra light sunglasses which were sold in happy meals in June 1998. The later 1999 spec sunglasses have steel hinges instead of titanium and are heavier on the nose.

LT77 was fitted to SD1,Defender,Discovery,MG,and many more and they use many different switches.The original switch had two wires hard wired to it ending in male bullet connectors,that had a 3/8 unc thread and the number was Lucas 30974 or Rover TKC6761 later version had had two male spades on top of the switch and that is PRC 2911.Sorry Cantus I was being lazy and not making myself clear,mine is still on the original box and switch and if you have trouble finding Lucas and Rover bits the intermotor number is 54890.Tempus
