O.k I will try and explain as best I can my problems, Since Oct last year MOH has not been running I parked up 1 night everything seemed fine the next time I went to her she was hard to start and when she did there was massive amounts of black fuel smelling smoke from the exhaust, After a bit of advice from you lot I set about checking the usual suspects but I have now run out of ideas and had to take her to a garage she ran ruff and smokey all of the 3 miles I had to drive her but got her there o.k.
My mate from the garage has just phoned me and what he has said don't sound to good so here goes.
1 the oil level is UP by almost 3 inches and the oil very thin, Fuel in it ?
2 It is taking too long for pressure to build in the tappets hence slow starting
3 With the plugs all out (done comp test) the engine is very tight to turn over by hand and there is a strange sqeaking noise, sounds rubbery but all belts are off
4 Inlet manifold gaskett is rotten
About to start stripping injection system down to get to gaskett could this have anything to do with over fueling IE loss of vacume ?
Anyone had any of the other problems ? any idea as to what is wrong ? is it worth spending any time / money on ? Thanks in advance a very p£$sed of Ian.

If the oil level is up three inches, that's probably water.
They should have drained the oil, then they would know instantly. (you can get a pretty good idea from the dipstick, oil or water!)
Oil looks fine no "milking" working on the theory that she is seriously over fueling some is blown out exhaust and some is getting past rings in to sump, is this possble ?They should have drained the oil, then they would know instantly. If it's not water and milky oil or water level drop should confirm - then look for serious over fueling or leaking injector.
There's an old thread some where (maybe TVRCC) about a completely locked engine that would not turn over - cyl full of fuel - leaking injector.
Try with cold start injector disconnected etc.

UPDATE.
Cold start injector defo fudged continously injecting fuel, All other injectors fine with good spray patern. Noise from bottom end now a lot louder with inlet manifold off, Guess is that the thinning of the oil has caused the crank bearings to get hot and expand and are now turning with the crank, Next step is sump of to see whats what.
