hi all does anyone know where i can get a nearside window mechanism for my 350i wedge . The thing thats gone is the flange that holds the window in place the actual motor is fine as is the window, but the flange has opened to the extent that the window will fall out. the flange has been put in a vice in the attempt to close it but it just springs open again. If anyone has any ideas or contacts i would be most grateful

Can yer give us a bit more detail on the "flange" - Im not sure what you mean!

I guess you mean the lifter bar that grips the bottom of the window pane??

Most of the window stuff is Rover SD1, and reasonably priced parts (not often I say this!!) can be had from Rimmers, as they bought a large shipment of parts made in India (I havent sampled the quality myself...).

Yes I second that try Rimmers - I got two window motors from them for my Wedge - both new just over £20 each and perfect for the job - I am sure they will sort out the parts you need - my parts came next day as well. Good price right parts excellent service.
Cheers

The window is wedged in with a strip of rubber sheet.

£195 is strong!

thats basically the price for new parts!

TVRCarParts have got wedge sidescreens. I do seem to remember one side being more expensive than the other...
