Just waiting for my re-furb calipers and output shaft to come back from Ward Engineering. I've kept the shims but have noted that they are different on both sides. When putting it all back together I want to check they are put back correctly.

I know there is a gauge available to check but does anyone know what are the camber angles? Are they positive, negative or neutral?

Thanx

Best advice I can offer is to mic up the old ones where they are not rusty, i.e. not at the edges, then buy more shims from Wards of the same thickness, and refit as they came off.

The other thing to do is take the car to your local friendly laser-alignment-equipped tyre fitter for a suspension report.

I go to Micheldevers, and it does:

-front track
-Rear track
-NS wheelbase
-OS wheelbase
-front camber
-front castor
-front toe
-Rear toe

I've an idea it also does rear camber, which is what you want!

Best to call them and check though.

Ed.

You measure camber on the wheel drive flange or wheel rim. The brake discs are parr.
Several values quoted but 1/2 to 1 deg neg seems to be common one.
Very common to have significanly diff shims per side.

Shims between disk and diff flange are to centre disc in caliper the additional shims between disc and drive shaft are for camber.

Suspension must ne loaded (normal ride height) to check camber and adjusting toe affects camber.
