No your car is clean, and looks gorgeous and appears ideal. I am hoping you can get it sorted and get in contact when you do so!

OK, how does £8K grab you?

Adjustable dampers
Uprated brakes
Uprated radiator
Polybushed suspension & SH drop links
Roll bar
Four point harnesses
Spare set of 16" split rims with part worn R888s
Recent clutch change.

Had sub 60 second laps of the Brands Hatch indy circuit out of it.

In fact for the record I would like to take back my earlier statement because I have just realised how careless it was.

There are some very very nice examples on the market at the moment, but sadly they are not in my budget or haven't got the history I am looking for.

Apologies all those currently advertising.

Depends what he wants out of the car -

Posing or driving biggrin

The brakes do not fade and the engine does not overheat which is kind of handy for track days.

Seriously though if we had an idea what he was looking for...

What db are you putting out? Do you use track day silencers? I was planning to go to the last TVR track day at Brands, but the noise meter I used from work showed me quite a way over the limit... And it's a standard 350i!! Albeit with custom made stainless sports system wink

So In small print you want a 400SE for nothing that's perfect with full S/H.
You get what you pay for if you want a cheep 400SE then it not going to have good history.

Close to perfect 400SE's was selling for over 10K last year.

If you want a good cheap Wedge get a 350. in some ways better value for money. the SE fetch a premium, due the the better styling Engine and Rarity. there's less than 100 4xxSE's left now.

Less than 100 out of almost 280. Where do you get that figure from ?? In reply to original posting its not what you pay for it, its what it costs you !!!!

I am looking for an honest car with some good history, and I am willing to pay for it. It doesn't have to be like brand new because I'd be constantly thinking about getting scratches etc etc thats why I haven't budgeted for such prestine cars.

I'm going to stop posting because I seem to be constantly digging holes.

It comes out at 103dB quite consistently, we have a basic TD silencer which you just stuff with wire wool but have not had to use it yet as we go for days with 105dB limits. The evening limit for Brands is 102dB but the marshals let us through anyway. The system is the usual stainless centre box and then single pipe through to the rear.

The 350i we had before this car was about 101dB iirc.
