The only Wedge at Chimpfest
Discussion
Well on Sunday anyway (I don't know about Saturday)

We were certainly the loudest there - so upheld the honour of the Wedges
and managed to infiltrate ourselves into their run out as well
(which was actually very good thru some great scenery and despite a very heavy downpour)

Note we were virtually the only Tiv with the top down (and a flag flying)!!!!!!
Joking apart and despite the lack of other Wedgers, it was a great day out in a very nice area and hotel.
Not as well supported as the Wedgefest though, and make me look forward to it all the more
Richard
Thanks to Kevin RO for South Yorkshire TVRCC for these 2 pics

Think we might have been the loudest (and wettest) too

When we arrived it was threatening rain, but nothing more than the odd smatter
The skies began to drop some fair sized blobs so Trickie and I popped the roof back on the wedge, mainly to protect the new wood work on the dash
As everyone prepared for the runout, it was roof off, hat on, flag in and flying proudly....about 3/4 into the run, the heavens opened with such might that visibility was almost zero. We soldiered on as long as we could, driving past various Tivvers who had stopped to put the roof up. Sadly the fact that Derbyshire was experiencing one ALMIGHTY downpour soon became more than evident and Trickie was having to spit rain off of his face before he could speak
I was soaked through and we decided to put the roof up for the last run accross accross the countryside before coming back to the venue. then it stopped and it was roof off once again for a lurvely blitzkreig run accross high peak and holme-moss

Richard's car was the best sounding TVR there, never mind the best sounding wedge, cracking car.
You're a gentleman sir. Sometimes I think we should hold these events mid-week, when you can almost guarantee perfect weather

I went out for a 'quick' hoon yesterday evening and of course finished up on my way home 2 hours later (9.30pm)...still with the sun in my eyes, and just hating having to put her to bed.
