I would like to read views on what car I should have to complement my 450SE. I intend to use the Wedge as my car of choice; that’s the one I will get in to drive whatever the occasion and whatever the weather. However, what other car should I have for those days where I fancy a change, or for those rare times the Wedge is off the road.

A Wedge FHC.

I'm looking for one.

Did have one of each a couple of years ago, and I miss the Fixed head for those crappy days....of which we have had A LOT recently . frown

Of course when you're looking (for a 350 FHC) there are none about.

My alternative to the wedge is a '7' , totally different but very fast and cannot be beaten round corners/rounderbouts/overtaking/twisty roads .

So you like big V8's, you need a Land Rover, why not combine needs with wants and get a Bowler!!

Like D1 MAD has, I was expecting complementary cars that are a different type. My "other car" is a Jaguar XJ6 Diesel Sport Premium. It is a lovely comfortable car, goes like the preverbial and handles well, whilst returning mid 30s to the gallon (Over 40 on a cruising run). I bought it as I was intending to loads of miles, but it didn't happen. Now I am looking for something else, a little smaller, carries the rubbish to the local tip, and is still a driver's car. Any suggestions?
