The act hose is good kit, made of silicone and easy to make it fit to length.

For less than £30 I replaced the hose with polished alloy 90 deg tube (approx £14?)with short reducer connecting hoses and new clips (2 x kits @ £7 ea) at each end. Dead easy to do and looks good. The tube I got from a local accessory shop was slightly too long so I had to cut both ends off (which included the fluting for hose connection) which meant I rubbed on a thin film of silicon sealant before final connection to make sure no oil leaks. Overtightening the hose clips could have distorted the pipe which is why I used sealant so I didn't have to worry about undertightening.

The reason I replaced my hose was that it had collapsed at the bend and when i revved the engine I noticed it sucked in vastly reducing the cross sectional area through the tube. It did seem to rev a lot freer at top end afterwards, easily screaming to 6,500 rpm. Trouble is it don't go nowhere now because I was daft enough not to use it for weeks and leave it in the rain.

Regards

Mark

Easy as said before. Although I had to fiddle the airflow meter on my flapper to be able to take a ridged hose (ACT) and keep it horizontal.... and in its original horizontal position. It can be done, as anything on our wedges.
