How's the build going Rev? Is it a runner yet?

I've finished modifying the sump .. crank is so big the thing would not turn over by hand .. have modified the sump with a large hammer..

It turns over NOW !

This weekends task is to centralise the engine on mounts, grind / cleanup mounts so they clear the heads .. and cut any f/glass that is in the way of the new headers .. that I'm about to mock up / make..

The exhaust ports at the far end are higher than std and as a consequence are closer to the chassis rails than standard

I'll post some pictures at the end of the weekend of the mockup 4 into 1's..

You could allways do what I have done on the Racer, and have them coming forward.

TVR engineering at it's finest! Nice one Rev.

Wildcat heads look good, are you dropping the engine down a bit to gain some clearance on the rails?

When I mock they up - I'll look at both methods..

Forward and down ..

Also look at dropping the engine down too.. and whether its necessary (might be needed at some point with the inlet / bonnet clearance).

Anyone know when they have that stupid tube in the fore ground .. it seems to just get in the way..

I see you've been scribbling on your engine there.. at least if you lose it, we'll know it's yours. hehewink

Seriously though, lotta work going on there, but aren't you just itching to get out and drive it?
I'm guessing maybe not - seeing as you have that new toy to play with.

Me... jealous

Looking forward to see the finished result.

Very Aston Martin yes

Sounds like it's going to be a belter! I tip my cap to thee for starting such a project. Changing the oil gets me stressing!

Alan - you been running that engine with no headers on? The neighbours must love you!!

As for the exhaust - 10" pipes up and through the bonnet - it's the only way ;^)
