Hi All

Just had my 350i dyno'd on a hub dyno at Thurrock and wondered if any of you guys would be intersted a putting together a day out as the nights and weather pull in?? Happy to co-ordinate if we have enough interest. We will need about 6-7 cars to make it worthwhile for them at around £70- £80 a go. Have to say that I found them very helpful and experienced. Let me know if there is any interest and we will take it from there. As i said it is based in West Thurrock (in the Lakeside shopping centre site and 10 mins from Darford tunnel (Worth the trip for the drivingthrough the tunnel!)yes

Cheers

Chris

I could be, but i have to put my SEAC on a dyno 1st to have a check & tune up. My engine has only done 3500 miles since a full re-build.

What was the result of your 350i?

Hi Wayne .. Well my 20 yr old 350i made 166.4 BHp and 190.3 lbs Torque and as they said a near perfect power curve Max power and torque was delivered at 4040 rpm. So the engine is running clean and appears healthy so job done!

They could do a Saturday for us if there is enough interest.

Max P & T at 4040rpm? Sounds like a Range Rover engine!

Hi Jack, is that 166bhp at the wheels or at the fly?

Most dyno printouts i've seen for the 3.9 or 4.0 show about 180bhp at the wheels which gives between 210-230 at the fly once the dyno operators have guesstimated drivetrain losses.

If its 166 at the wheels i'd say thats a pretty healthy output.

Best power and torque was at 4040 rpm but can holds it to to the limiter so happy for a 350 with at least 35k miles on it that I am aware of.

These numbers are at the wheels as they run these new hub mounted dyno. See my run earler in the year on:

£60~70 a go is a bit steep..

Vixpy at Surrey Rolling Road does that kind of thing for about £35~40 a go.

Not to worry just a thought as the winter pulls in and would be good to get a few Wedges together?

The charity days were last year as I understand it ... like I said it was just a thought as there is not much going on at this time of year for a Wedge get together ..... anyway onwards and upwards!
